What does “community supported” mean?
It’s local business support and listeners like you, who give financially, that help WRBS-FM bring hope and encouragement to your community. Your support and local business sponsorship, together with volunteers and people who pray for this ministry, are a vibrant community!

Why do you need listener donations since there is advertising on the station?
Advertising covers about one quarter of our ministry’s operating expenses. Your prayers and financial support are needed to help WRBS stay on the air, especially now during difficult economic times.

You have rarely asked for donations on the air before. Why start now?
Actually, in l964 and again in l985, we asked listeners to join in major giving campaigns. Both were key events in our history, and WRBS listeners responded overwhelmingly in both instances. We needed your help then, and we need it now.

What are you going to do with the money?
Your financial gift will be used for the operating expenses of WRBS.

How do I give?
You can give securely online with a one-time gift, or you can set up an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for convenient, secure, monthly giving. It’s easy. Or, if you prefer, we will be happy to help you by phone at 443-874-3532.

What is Electric Funds Transfer?
You can give your gift automatically each month from your bank account, credit, or debit card. It’s easy through our EFT (electronic funds transfer) program. Simply choose when to give, how much, and for how long. It’s a secure and convenient way to support WRBS-FM.

Is it secure if I donate online?
Yes. You can check that your online gifts are secure by noting the “https” at the beginning of the url address. The “s” means secure.

Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, it is, minus the fair market value of any gifts or benefits you receive. WRBS-FM is a ministry of Peter and John Radio Fellowship, Inc., a not-for-profit 501c3 religious organization founded in 1948.

Will I receive a donor statement at the end of the year?
Yes. You will receive a printed summary listing all gifts you have given within each calendar year.

What do I get when I give?
First, you will get our heartfelt thanks! You’ll also receive a written thank you notice and receipt in the mail within a few days.
You will get plugged into WRBS-FM. You’ll be the first to know about station information, facts about concerts and events, and how your gift is being used to bring a message of hope and encouragement to your community.
If you give any amount within a calendar year, you will receive a tax receipt in January outlining the tax deductibility of your gift.
You will receive the blessing that comes from giving. And, through your gifts, you will become a partner in the daily ministry of this radio station.

Tax and Audit information
The Peter and John Radio Fellowship, of which WRBS is a part, was founded in l948 in Baltimore. The Fellowship received its IRS 501(c)3 tax exempt status as a non-profit Christian ministry in l959. It has operated as a not-for-profit ministry continuously since its tax exempt status was granted.
You have our commitment that every gift given to WRBS-FM will be used with integrity before God, to whom we are ultimately accountable. We also recognize that we are accountable to you, our generous partner in ministry.
As a ministry outreach of the Peter and John Radio Fellowship, WRBS-FM is audited annually by McGladrey and Pullen, a leading Baltimore accounting firm. All donations to WRBS-FM are tax deductible as allowed by law.
