Tell us about your faith journey.

Through a Young Life camp when I was 13 years old. I just knew it was true about Jesus! I came back so excited about my faith in the Lord, but my family didn't understand. So for many years, I just backed away from it, and lived a life apart from God. He faithfully pursued me and I recommitted my life to him back in 1995 and got baptized in May of 1997. A new life!

What’s your favorite room in your house and why?

My living room. It's cozy, and it has a fireplace. I pray there, and read the Word, sing, play guitar, and hang out with people I love. It feels safe and warm to me.

On Saturdays, you like to…

Be outside. Go for a run or a hike. Enjoy the fresh air. Do some gardening and kill some poor unsuspecting plants... Oops, I mean, teach survival skills to plants. Yeah, that's it.

What talent do you wish you had?

I love to watch graceful dancers praise the Lord through movement. It looks so free and unhindered. I'd love to be that graceful and unashamed of my body that I could do as David did, and dance before the Lord with all my might.

What is the best advice you ever received?

Trust Jesus. That's it. Just trust Him. With your life, with your heart, with everything you're hoping for, ashamed of, and wanting to grow in. Trust Jesus.
