WRBS provides ongoing training opportunities for employees as part of our tuition reimbursement policy. The policy provides partial or full tuition reimbursement for training that indirectly or directly relates to an employee’s job responsibilities, providing the foundation to achieve higher level positions. (8) WRBS produces and provides a publication that outlines employment opportunities in the field of radio broadcasting and directs prospective applicants to current job openings. The publication is disseminated at WRBS community events, is available at our studios/offices and is sent by mail to inquirers. The objective of this publication is to attract the public to job opportunities in the field of broadcasting in a compelling, effective way. (16) WRBS provides a Broadcast Internship Program, which is designed to create a qualified pool of applicants from among women and minorities. The goals of the program primarily include training individuals to perform on-air duties in a professional manner and to be able to properly operate all related broadcast equipment. (5)
