"Your Grace Finds Me" by Matt Redman

Tracey's Take

Have you ever found yourself in a place where you were enjoying something that you didn't feel you deserved? Yet, there you were?

That was me on a cruise to Alaska a few weeks ago. I was surrounded by the beauty of God's creation and marveling that I had the chance to see it. (See picture to the right)

That was me this past weekend at Disney for Night of Joy (a Christian music festival at Walt Disney World), enjoying the fun of the Magic Kingdom and amazed that I got to be there.

That's me every day, when I walk into my house or get in my car or go to work or hang out with friends or sing at church... everywhere it seems, I am blessed with good things. The truth is, I know it's not because I'm entitled. I am a mess of mixed motives, full of things that I know aren't perfect or pure, and still somehow, God has decided to bless me with a rich life. It's all grace. And in those moments when I am broken, hurting, and feeling so distant from the Lord, He brings me a sunset that I know is just for me or a call from a friend or change in my purse for a chai.

The unmerited favor of God is available for all of us and chances are we are all basking in it. The most amazing thing about it is that God doesn't advertise His grace. He just pours it out - perhaps hoping that we will notice and find Him in it. That's why my song of the week is "Your Grace Finds Me" by Matt Redman.

I love the verse that says...

It's there on the mountaintop.
It's there in the everyday and the mundane.
There in the sorrow and the dancing.
Your great grace.

Yep. I am basking in His grace, every day.

"Your Grace Finds Me" Lyrics

It's there in the newborn cry
It's there in the light of every sunrise
It's there in the shadows of this light
Your great grace

It's there on the mountaintop
It's there in the everyday and the mundane
There in the sorrow and the dancing
Your great grace

Oh, such grace

From the creation to the cross
Then from the cross into eternity
Your grace finds me
Yes, Your grace finds me

It's there on a wedding day
There in the weeping by the graveside
There in the very breath we breathe
Your great grace

Same for the rich and poor
Same for the saint and for the sinner
Enough for this whole wide world
Your great grace

Oh, such grace

From the creation to the cross
Then from the cross into eternity
Your grace finds me
Yes, Your grace finds me

There in the darkest night of the soul
There in the sweetest songs of victory
Your grace finds me
Yes, Your grace finds me

Your grate grace
Oh, such grace
Your grate grace
Oh, such grace

So I'm breathing in Your grace
And I'm breathing out Your praise
I'm breathing in Your grace
Forever I'll be
Breathing in Your grace
And I'm breathing out Your praise
I'm breathing in Your grace
Forever I'll be
Breathing in Your grace
And I'm breathing out Your praise
Breathing in Your grace
For our God, for our God

Yes, Your grace finds me
Yes, Your grace finds me
